Classic Mini Van Restoration

This is a real gem of a project for The Real Mini Company as classic Mini vans like this 1971 tax-exempt model are so rare. We were told by the customer that it had been dry-stored for more than 20 years but we think it must have been stored in a pond! People actually laughed at us when we took it on but they're not laughing now as this a fantastic vehicle and one of our favourite Mini restoration projects to date.

The roof has had repairs but remains original however the majority of the panels are all new. As part of the restoration it has had a change of colour to Tweed Grey with a Black roof, the braking system has been upgraded from drums to discs, the suspension has been upgraded to springs with every nut and bolt being brand new and powder-coated suspension components.

The engine is currently being reconditioned, the interior is being bespoke-trimmed and will be used in shows for the 2016 show season by the owner.
