Terms & Conditions

·        Definition:

o   Period: how long the restoration can be expected to take

o   Panels: any required replacement panels to be purchased at the beginning of the restoration project

o   Parts: new or refurbished parts, depending on what’s agreed

o   Labour: hours spent working on the car

·        Period:

o   This is the length of time you can expect your Mini to be with us:

  • Full restoration = maximum 18 months

  • Shell restoration = maximum 8 months

·        Fees:

o   All labour estimates are to be agreed prior to any work commencing

o   Rates:

  • Restoration labour rate = £80 + VAT per hour

  • Mechanical labour rate = £85 + VAT per hour

  • Collection or delivery charges = £1.95 + VAT per mile

·        based on a return trip and calculated between postcodes

·        a minimum charge of £85 + VAT applies

o   Storage = £10 + VAT per day

  • Transfer fees of £75 + VAT may be incurred

o   Ramp Inspection Services = £210-250 + VAT

o   MOT, including test fee and labour = £125 + VAT

·        Terms:

o   All panels required to be paid upfront

o   All labour will be invoiced monthly, unless agreed otherwise

  • Based on pre-agreed estimated number of hours to be worked ie

·        15 hours minimum

·        22.5 hours minimum

·        30 hours minimum

  • Payment via Standing Order is preferred otherwise via bank transfer

  • If hours worked exceeds estimated number, then this will be added to final invoice

o   All parts and materials invoiced monthly, in addition to labour costs

o   All invoice payments are due on receipt

o   Late payments (of 7 days or more from date of issue) will result in work ceasing on car and it being moved to our secure storage unit (see charges above)

  • This can also result in the loss of your slot or a delay in project completion

o   No interest charged

·        Storage policy:

o   No charges for storage will be made for the term of your Restoration Agreement (please see ‘missed payment’ section)

·        Transportation:

o   By prior arrangement

o   See above for collection or delivery charges

o   Free transport (delivery or collection only) is available on all restoration projects for the first 100 miles

  • Should work be placed on hold for whatever reason, please refer to ‘Cancellations’ and ‘fees’

o   Made by an employee of The Real Mini Company, in one of our enclosed and insured vehicles/trailers

o   All vehicles collected need to be free rolling

  • Should any onsite work be required (ie replacing tyres or increasing brakes) to get the car onto our vehicle there will be a charge of £85 per hour + VAT

  • All costs incurred during collection ie tolls, Congestions, etc will be passed onto customer

  • Please advise on access restriction

·        Cancellations:

o   If you need to move your slot in the workshop queue a new date will be dependent on availability

o   All payments received will be reallocated to your new schedule date

o   All panels or parts already purchase specifically for your car will be set aside or can be collected with the car. Refunds may not be possible.

o   If we need to store your car, for whatever reason, storage and transfer fees (see above) will apply

·        General

o   All Estimates are issued with the understanding that costs could change during the period in which the car is booked in; price increases will be notified where applicable.

o   Agreed estimates act as a contract between yourself and The Real Mini Company, agreeing the work to be carried out on your car

o   Monthly videos and pictures will be shared with you digitally throughout the build.

o   Customer visits are encouraged throughout the build process (we recommend a minimum of 4) and will be arranged once work commences. If you are abroad and unable to make it in person, videos and pictures will be sent on a regular basis.
