The Real Mini Company owner Daniel Budd competed in the Oxford Half Marathon last weekend and stormed home in just two hours and six minutes.
The run which is now in its second year offered a challenging course starting and finishing at Oxford United's Kassam Stadium and taking in some of Oxford's famous landmarks such as the Iffley Road running track and Christchurch Meadow as well as the spiritual home of the Mini, the famous car plant in Cowley.

Daniel who was running in aid of Cancer Research UK was delighted with his performance especially after his training regime had left a lot to be desired. "I didn't really train at all" confessed Dan after the race. "If I had I think I could have broken the two hour mark but I'm very pleased with how I got on and with raising a few pounds for a worthy cause. It was great that so many people supported us and wished us well so a big thanks to all of you."

Dan who ran with his good friend Paul Watson is now planning his next run in the famous Black and Pink of The Real Mini Company. "I'm looking at the Reading half in March 2013 but this time I'll be sure to train properly" he promised.
